Soon you can enjoy increased strengthening through therapeutic exercise to restore a normal range of motion in the affected areas and have the ability to golf the extra nine holes.

With the short golf season in Minnesota, time is precious.
Allow yourself to peak at the beginning of the season and be able to maintain throughout. You will be able to go the extra 9 holes without paying for it the next day.

Common Causes of Pain With the Golf Swing:
Over swinging due to poor hip control and restricted
    shoulder motion
 Incomplete mid-spine rotation
 Decreased hip range of motion
 Stance too wide
Take away during back swing is too flat
 Inadequate weight transfer

Self Help Tips:

Golf Swing
1. Decrease your back swing to 75% of max. This will     decrease the loading force placed on the low back during     the rotational component of the back swing allowing     decreased pain, increased accuracy and longer distance.

2. Slightly shift your hips towards your front stance leg.     This mechanical positioning will aid in increasing the     amount of internal rotation of the front hip while     decreasing the locking of the low back which causes pain.

3. Decrease the width of your stance. This modification will     decrease the “over the top” chopping movement that     typically causes pain in the lead side of the low back.

4. Reduce the rounding of the upper back during your     address posture to the ball. This correction will allow for     increase mid back extension, increase the proper curve in     the low back and provide core stability which will result in     greater control throughout the entire movement.

Be Wary Of:
Repetitively increasing pain with your golf swing.
Pain that last for days after playing a round of golf.
  Swinging the club too hard.
Not stretching out properly prior to your golf game.
