Breast
Cancer Patients:
Pain after breast surgery
- Postural issues such as forwardly rotated shoulder and
a forward head positioning can lead to problems such as pain in
the chest wall, upper back and inability to lift the arms up over
head. These can be attributed to tight chest muscles and weak
muscle in-between the shoulder blades. Pain in the surgical scar
can occur secondary to improper alignment of scar tissue formation
or tightness of the scar tissue. These can also contribute to
the lack of ability to raise the arm in different positions.
